Discipleship.

We believe that every follower of Jesus is called into the life of being a disciple. One of the most accurate ways to define a disciple is an apprentice. A disciple is someone who follows their master closely, learns from them, becomes like them, and does what they do.

This is why we have developed The Discipleship Pathway at gracespring. Our desire is to provide resources for our body that will help you to continue to step closer to Jesus. The Discipleship Pathway is a journey of continual growth that is organized into three sections: Head, Heart, and Hands.

We have organized the pathway into three distinct sections: Head, Heart, and Hands. We seek to help form disciples whose heads are shaped by God's Truth, whose hearts are awakened to God, and whose hands are mobilized for God's Kingdom.

Heart

Being with God and Others

This stage of the Pathway is dedicated to the heart-work of becoming formed in the image of Jesus. We want to help you continue your journey through the pathway by offering intentional courses each semester that provide opportunities for growth. For new believers, Alpha is a perfect opportunity to learn more about faith. For those who have been walking with Jesus for some time, we recommend joining us in the study of Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. Once you’ve stepped through either or both of these courses, you can join us for offerings in different subjects that include spiritual practices, disciplines, and sermon-aligned courses.

Doing the Work

Parallel to the Head and Heart stages, our Pathway points to some very practical steps that will help you align with the work that God is doing in your life. These steps are not evidence of salvation, but answer the call to posture ourselves in a way that will continue to help us grow. Some of these steps include: attending regularly, growing in word and prayer, joining a group, becoming more generous, and stepping forward in sharing the Gospel with others.
